Meet the Team
GRVH Staff
Bobbie Zech, DVM
Hello! My name is Dr. Bobbie Zech, and I’m a proud graduate of Michigan State University. I’ve had the privilege of serving pets and their families in the Lowell community for many years, ever since I purchased Grand River Veterinary Hospital in 1998. Today, I’m honored to practice alongside two fellow veterinarians who have joined me as co-owners of the clinic.
Having grown up in this area, I’m deeply rooted in the community I serve. With decades of experience in general practice, my approach to veterinary medicine has always centered on personalized, compassionate care. I’m passionate about helping pets live long, happy, and healthy lives—whether they’re dogs, cats, or the occasional pocket pet. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work has been building long-term relationships with both my patients and the families who love them.
Outside of work, life is full and joyful. I share my home with my Labrador Retriever, Izzo, and my curious cat, Andy. I’ve raised two amazing children, and when I’m not at the office, you’ll likely find me hiking, reading, traveling, or enjoying time with family and friends.
I’m also proud to be an active member of the veterinary community through the following organizations:
- MVMA – Michigan Veterinary Medical Association
- AVMA – American Veterinary Medical Association
- Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce – Community Partner
- West Michigan Academy of Small Animal Practitioners

Samantha Case, DVM
My name is Dr. Samantha Case, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. I grew up in Northville, Michigan, and began pursuing that dream early on by volunteering at a local veterinary clinic during high school—a formative experience that deepened my passion for animal care.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University, then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where I had the unique opportunity to study for several years on the beautiful island of St. Kitts. I completed my clinical year at Purdue University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, and graduated with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in January 2020. Traveling and learning from veterinarians in diverse settings was an incredibly rewarding experience that shaped my approach to veterinary medicine.
I began my career at Grand River Veterinary Hospital in 2020, and have loved getting to know the wonderful pets and people of the Lowell community ever since. In 2025, I was proud to become a co-owner of the practice. I’m excited to continue providing compassionate, personalized care as our hospital grows and evolves.
I currently live in Hastings, Michigan, with my husband Calvin and our beloved pets: three dogs (Flo, Tank, and Mishka), a cat (Harper), and a guinea pig (Daphne). Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking, skiing, and exploring new places whenever I get the chance.
Robin
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Hello! My name is Robin. I grew up in Portland, Michigan, where I was always surrounded by animals. Becoming a veterinary technician felt like a natural path, and I went on to earn my degree from Michigan State University’s Veterinary Technology Program.
After graduation, I spent ten years at a mixed animal practice before joining Dr. Zech and the team here at Grand River Veterinary Hospital. It’s been a great fit ever since—I love being part of a team that’s committed to high-quality care and truly values the human-animal bond.
At home, I enjoy life with my wonderful husband and our blended family of three sons and one daughter. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, camping, and traveling whenever I get the chance.

Outside of work, she and her husband, Ross, stay busy with their young son, their dog, Maggie, and their reptiles. She enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and family time.
Tina
Practice Manager
I’ve been part of Grand River Veterinary Hospital since 2003, and I truly can’t imagine working anywhere else. Over the years, I’ve loved getting to know our clients and their pets—each with their own unique story. Being surrounded by a compassionate, dedicated team and sharing the same passion for excellent care makes every day meaningful.
Outside of work, my greatest joy is spending time with my family and being active in my church. My husband and I married in 2009, and together we are raising three wonderful children. Our home is made complete with two cats and two dogs who keep life lively.
I feel incredibly blessed to serve both the people and pets of our community and look forward to continuing to grow with GRVH while building lasting relationships along the way.
